Elmo Makes Permanent Home at Busch Gardens
Elmo Makes Permanent Home at Busch Gardens
Just in time for the kids' spring break, Sesame Street comes to Busch Gardens. Construction has begun on the park's Sesame Street Safari of Fun attraction. It's slated to open on March 27, 2010. That loveable blue fuzzy monster Grover will have his own roller coaster. While not for the tiny tots, it looks to be a lot of fun for school-age children (38 inches if accompanied by an adult or 41 if riding alone).
Other new attractions and rides include the Count's Zambezi Rally, Zoe-Patra and the Hippos of the Nile, Snuffy's Elephant Romp, Elmo's Safari Go Round, Big Bird's Whirly Birdie, and Cookie Monster's Canopy Crawl. For fans of the big yellow bird, there will be a Big Bird meet-and-greet attraction, where visitors can have their picture taken with Big Bird with a selection of backgrounds.
And what's an Orlando theme park without the chance to get wet? Sesame Street Safari of Fun will also include a water-play attraction called Bert and Ernie's Watering Hole. There will also be retail and food options available in this area. Planned entertainment includes the 3-D presentation "Sesame Street Presents Lights, Camera, Imagination."
Sesame Street Safari of Fun sounds like it will be great fun for the kiddies, but remember: Sesame Street made it's debut over forty years ago. Chances are there might be a few middle-aged park guests exploring this exciting new attraction.
