Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Disney parks have long been famous for the world-class flora and fauna that graces their grounds. The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival kicked off at the beginning of this month and will continue until May 16. Guests during this time will have a chance to see Disney-themed topiaries, to hear Disney horticulturists discuss their craft, and learn about the newest advances in gardening.

The festival also includes plenty of activities for the kids. Both children and adults alike will marvel over Minnie’s Magnificent Butterfly Garden, where they’ll have the chance to see hundreds of butterflies. Kids can learn how to create their own rain gauge, and there are many areas where they can engage in hands-on activities.

The incredible flower and plant characters you might remember from the Disney animated film Fantasia will come to life and there are several play areas as well. The festival will include “flower power” concerts featuring a variety of music. Performances by David Cassidy, Tony Orlando, Chubby Checker, Herman’s Hermits, and Davy Jones are scheduled. Guided tours will be offered along with special breakfast events.
