Free Ticket to Disney Theme Parks

Free Ticket to Disney Theme Parks

As Disney kicks off its “Give a Day, Get a Day” promotion, volunteers were honored with a ceremony at Disney World’s Epcot Center on February 11. Along with the ceremony, a Guinness World Record was set for the “largest canned goods structure” in the world. A Disney/volunteer-themed structure was made from 115,527 cans. Volunteers then packed up the cans of food, which will be given to food banks in Orlando, Miami, and Atlanta.

Working with HandsOn Network, Disney parks hope that they will have a million people perform community service. Volunteers who do a day’s work for one of the agencies approved by HandsOn Network will receive a free ticket for a one-day admission to Disneyland or Walt Disney World.

The “Give a Day, Get a Day” promotion began on January 1, 2010, and so far over 600k folks have signed up or already volunteered in their communities. If you’d like to get a free day at Disney, go to Disneyparks.com, where you can search for approved volunteer opportunities in your area. In return, you’ll get your ticket for a free day’s admission. If you can’t use your ticket, you can donate it to an approved organization.
