It Really is a Small World
It Really is a Small World
When Alex and Donna Voutsinas were looking through childhood photographs in preparation for their wedding, Alex noticed something interesting. In a photograph taken of Donna at Disney World when she was a child, he spotted someone familiar in the background--himself. As Donna and her brothers pose with a Disney character in the foreground, there's a man pushing a stroller in the background. Alex recognized the man in the background as his dad!
To confirm what seemed to be an amazing coincidence, Alex searched for his family's photos of that Disney trip and his suspicions were confirmed--His dad looks exactly like he did in the background of Donna's family photo. Same outfit, same stroller, same kid, same everything. Their families both confirmed that the dates of the visits coincided with each other.
Yes, it appears that years before the two actually met (Donna lived in Florida at the time while Alex lived in Canada), they crossed paths as young children at the Magic Kingdom.
When those little singing statues in Disney World's "It's a Small World" ride sing the song by the same name over and over again, they really aren't kidding.
