Orlando Science Center Offers a Fun Departure from Theme Parks
Orlando Science Center Offers a Fun Departure from Theme Parks
The Orlando Science Center has been inspiring, delighting, and teaching visitors of all ages. The OSC features four floors of exhibits and big-screen movies. Though it could never replace the fabulous theme parks in Orlando, it certainly offers a plethora of activities to do on a non-theme park day. Current exhibits include:
• Diabetes—A Deeper Look: This exhibit offers a three dimensional experience designed to help visitors look at this disease in a new and unique way.
• If a Starfish Can Grow a New Arm, Why Can’t I?
• Frogs!
• Careers for Life
• Dino Digs: Visitors can dig for fossils and see real dinosaur bones
• SimMan—A lifelike man which helps health care professionals learn how to take care of their patients
• Dr. Dare’s Lab: Perform hundreds of your own experiments
• Science on a Sphere: Look at the Earth in a whole new way
• H2O Now: Interactive exhibits featuring one of our most precious resources
The Orlando Science Center is open seven days a week with extended hours on Saturdays. It’s a favorite with tourists and locals alike. General admission includes: Special engagement touring exhibits, entry to all four floors of interactive exhibit galleries, giant screen films and planetarium shows in the Dr. Phillips CineDome, and live science programming throughout the Center.
