A unique opportunity to see costumes and memorabilia from film and television will be available to visitors of the Orange County Regional History Center in Orlando beginning on February 6.

The exhibit, “Out of This World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television” features costumes from a variety of TV shows and films, primarily of the science fiction genre.

The ambiance will be decidedly science-fiction themed as well, down the the elevators, which will be designed to look and feel like Star Trek transporters. Mood music and special display effects will also add to the otherworldly ambiance of the exhibit.

The exhibit features items from Star Trek, Star Wars, and heroes and villains. As far as villains go, visitors will have the change to see the Wicked Witch of the West’s hat from the Wizard of Oz. Heroes’ costumes includes the suit Burt Ward wore as Robin in the 1960s Batman and Robin TV series. Also in this area is the Batman suit George Clooney wore in the Batman movie he appeared in.
