Pamper Your Pooch or Kitty at Disney
Pamper Your Pooch or Kitty at Disney
The next time you go to Walt Disney World Resort after August 27, don’t worry about finding a pet sitter for Fluffy or Fido. Disney World is opening a new kennel, Best Friends Pet Care Resort, and it will replace other kennels at Disney.
This place is posh—pet owners can rest assured knowing that their four legged friends are enjoying air-conditioned indoor rooms, 48-square-foot indoor-outdoor suites, and four expansive VIP (very important pet) suites with television, raised bedding, and private outdoor yards. And don’t worry, Fluffy—there’s a “Kitty City” pavilion far away from the canine area, with lush accommodations as well.
There’s also a dedicated dog park dog park featuring a fenced walking trail bordering the natural wetlands around the park. Guests can choose from a variety of different play areas. There’s even a canine water park!
Best Friends Pet Care Resort also offers a grooming salon. Boarding costs start at $37 per day, which includes indoor boarding with walks. VIP suites are available as well. For an extra charge, you can choose other special treats for your animal, from one-on-one playtimes to playtime with other dogs. Ice cream treats, bottled water, and premium bedding is available. Cats can also get private playtime and special treats, including activity toys, cookies and milk, and even tuna on crackers!
