Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort
|
||||||||
Facility Overview:
The Disney Dolphin is the sister hotel of the Disney Swan Resort. Both Orlando hotels are situated side-by-side and share grounds with the Walt Disney World Resort. Both the Dolphin and Swan are also magnificent, architecturally distinctive buildings designed by internationally acclaimed architect Michael Graves. The Dolphin is based around an impressive 27-story pyramid, and the adjacent Swan has 56-foot dolphin sculptures crowning each side. Both hotels overlook water and are truly a memorable site to behold.
The Dolphin is an Orlando resort, which is run by Starwood Resorts, which means that guests will be able to take advantages of all the Starwood popular offerings like the trademarked Heavenly bed. The 1,509 guest rooms were also designed by architect Graves, and have a spacious and relaxing feel. The Dolphin offers traditional rooms as well as junior, executive, governors, and presidential sized suites. The larger suites will accommodate a group of guests in lavish accommodations.
The Dolphin also offers four restaurants, 2 lounges, 5 outdoor pools, shopping, arcades and a special camp program to occupy children when parents want a little time off. Both The Disney Dolphin and Disney Swan resorts share a grotto pool situated on 3 acres, with an amazing playground for the children. The two Orlando hotels also share a world-class health club and spa. The Mandara Spa, at the Disney Dolphin, indulges guests in an Asian themed paradise. Some of the luxurious offerings include Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage, Thai Massage, extensive aromatherapy treatments, and much more. After a day at the Walt Disney World Theme parks, this spa is a great way to relax before dinner.
The Disney Dolphin and Disney Swan also share a world-renowned convention center. In fact because of the extensive convention centres, you will see many business travelers at these landmark Orlando hotels. The Dolphin and Swan Resorts combined offer 84 meeting rooms with over 329,000 square feet of space. Unlike many Disney hotels, The Disney Dolphin considers the needs of children, families as well as people traveling on business. The wide array of restaurants in the Dolphin caters towards adults just as much as children, with establishments such as Todd English’s Bluezoo Lounge and Shula’s Steak House.
