Remember the Disney Main Street Electrical Parade that you marveled over as a child? What vacation photo album doesn’t include some blurry, out-of-focus shots of this Disney staple?

If you’ve been to the Disney parks over the last few years, you’ve noticed that they’ve often replaced the Electrical Parade with other parades and Main Street events. Sure, these events are great, too, but for those of us that remember the Electrical Parade as a child, we want our kids to have that same experience.

Good news for all you Disney old-school purists or just those of you who want to see this parade—it’s coming back to Disney World for the summer of 2010—at least for June. It’s been appearing at Disney’s California Adventure and now Orlando Disney visitors can enjoy this perennial favorite once again. After April 2010 it will reportedly be shipped to Florida to make its appearance this summer.

Some fun facts about the parade:

• It includes half a million colored light bulbs
• Lighting is choreographed to work in sync with the memorable soundtrack
• The name of the unforgettable music played during the parade is titled “Baroque Hoedown.”
