Moderate Hotels at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando

While you’ll find several upscale Orlando hotels
in Disney World, there are also plenty of moderately priced hotels to choose from as well, and each with a distinct theme. Disney-property hotels in the moderate range include:

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort: The cabins are set on 750 acres of woods, and the rustic, woodsy theme is carried throughout the resort. There are wooded trails to hike, and you might even see a deer, ducks, or other wildlife! The resort offers plenty of themed activities as well, including a BBQ with Disney characters, a western show, and even horseback riding. There’s even a “swimming hole” and a nightly marshmallow roast around the campfire. There’s so much to do here, you’ll have to make sure you find the time to actually visit the Magic Kingdom! Located in the Magic Kingdom area.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort: With the buildings painted various pastel hues, his hotel will make you feel like you’ve landed on a Caribbean island. If you love the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disney World or the movies of the same name, this is the place for you. There are even some rooms decorated in a pirate motif, and the Old Port Royale pool is themed after a Spanish fortress. Located in the Epcot area.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort: This beautiful hotel and resort is fashioned after a Spanish-colonial Mexican town. The pool is Mayan ruin-themed, with a 123-foot jaguar-themed waterslide. The hotel surrounds Lago Dorado—a 22-acre lake. The guest rooms are authentically decorated in tile and terra cotta, just as you’d find south of the border. Located in the Animal Kingdom area.

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort—French Quarter: This hotel is inspired by—what else?—the French Quarter of New Orleans. Some of the props and décor for this hotel were actually purchased in New Orleans. Here you’ll find ornate street signs, wrought-iron accents, jazz music, magnolia blossoms, and Creole flair. Located in the Downtown Disney area.

Disney Port Orleans Resort—Riverside: This hotel is inspired by rural Louisiana—the Louisiana Bayou, mint juleps on the porch, genteel mansions, quaint cottages, and even a food court featuring a real, working water wheel. Guests can take a carriage ride or stroll through the well-manicured gardens inspired by the gardens of the fine homes of the South. Located in the Downtown Disney area.

Next time, well take a look at some of the value-priced hotels in Disney World. While they are low in price, they aren’t low in service or style.
